Jamie Halperin is an attorney whose practice focuses on entertainment law, name, image and likeness (NIL), talent and endorsement matters, sponsorships and brand partnerships, hospitality and venue development, real estate, and business and entrepreneurial law. Drawing on experience with leading global entertainment companies, investment firms, and law firms, Jamie provides practical, business-minded legal counsel designed to advance her clients’ commercial objectives while thoughtfully managing legal and operational risk.
Jamie is a member of the California bar and began her career in the entertainment industry, where she developed extensive experience advising business teams on sophisticated commercial transactions. She served as Associate Counsel for Live Nation Entertainment, one of the world’s largest live entertainment companies, where she drafted and negotiated hundreds of agreements involving concerts, festivals, venues, sponsorships, advertising and marketing initiatives, ticketing, concessions, merchandising, technology, and venue operations and development. This experience provides Jamie with a practical understanding of the legal and business considerations involved in entertainment, live events, hospitality, and consumer-facing businesses.
Jamie’s entertainment practice includes advising on name, image and likeness (NIL) matters; talent, influencer, and endorsement agreements; sponsorship, advertising, and brand partnership arrangements; licensing and promotional agreements; and other commercial relationships involving talent, brands, entertainment companies, and emerging businesses. She works to structure arrangements that appropriately protect intellectual property and publicity rights while creating commercially effective partnerships among talent, brands, sponsors, venues, and other stakeholders.
Jamie also advises restaurants, hospitality businesses, entertainment venues, and related operators on matters arising throughout the development and operation of their businesses. Her practice encompasses commercial agreements, vendor and service arrangements, sponsorship and promotional relationships, leasing, development matters, and other operational considerations. Her background in live entertainment gives her particular insight into businesses where real estate, hospitality, entertainment, branding, and customer experience intersect.
Additionally, a significant portion of Jamie’s practice focuses on real estate, development, land use, and zoning matters. She advises clients in connection with commercial leases, acquisitions and dispositions, purchase and sale agreements, development projects, construction-related agreements, land use and zoning considerations, entity structuring, and joint venture arrangements. Jamie works with property owners, investors, developers, operators, and entrepreneurs to address both the transactional and business considerations associated with acquiring, developing, financing, leasing, and operating real estate assets.
Jamie’s business and entrepreneurial practice supports clients throughout the lifecycle of a business, from formation and structuring through growth, strategic transactions, and ongoing operations. She advises entrepreneurs, emerging companies, investors, and established businesses on entity formation, governance, commercial contracts, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and other transactional matters. Jamie takes a practical approach to helping clients establish strong legal foundations while preserving the flexibility necessary to grow their businesses.
Jamie earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois College of Law and her Master of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame, where she concentrated in Finance and Real Estate. Her legal experience, combined with her business and finance education, enables her to approach matters from both a legal and commercial perspective.
Jamie enjoys working closely with entrepreneurs, talent, investors, developers, hospitality operators, entertainment companies, brands, and businesses at every stage of growth. She takes the time to understand each client’s goals and priorities and strives to be a trusted, accessible legal advisor, providing practical guidance, thoughtful solutions, and advice that makes sense from both a legal and business perspective.
