Boodell & Domanskis, LLC is pleased to announce the addition of trial lawyer and litigator, Michael L. Brooks, as Of Counsel.  Mike joins the firm’s Commercial and Civil Litigation practice.

Mike has over 20 years of experience leading and trying litigation matters for both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal courts throughout the United States.  Mike devotes his practice to a wide range of commercial and civil litigation cases.  His broad background includes representing both commercial and individual clients in class actions, multi-million dollar commercial disputes and construction arbitrations.  In the last twelve years, Mike has represented victims of clerical sexual abuse in both the litigation and mediation context.  More recently, a substantial part of Mike’s practice has focused on professional liability claims involving lawyers and insurance agents and brokers, including litigating complex insurance coverage disputes.

Mike received his undergraduate degree from Kalamazoo College and his J.D. cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School, where he graduated Order of the Coif.  Mike is a member of several bar associations and committees, including the Chicago Bar Association’s Judicial Evaluation Committee.  In addition to other pro-bono work, Mike has been a volunteer, tutor and fundraiser at one of Chicago’s largest homes for abused children.
